2018 House of the Year, Silver Award

Silver Goes to Home Built by Evolution, a Division of Rilean Construction, and Designed by Architect Mark Gray 

We are proud to announce that a bespoke home we completed last year in Jack's Point, Queenstown, has won the Silver Award in the 2018 Registered Masterbuilder's House of the Year competition.

This distinction is particularly meaningful as this home was entered into the $1-2 million category.  The budget narrowly met the criteria for this category, placing this home in tight competition with residences on the top end. 

The cost of building this thermally-efficient home includes the higher specifications for increased performance and compliance with the strict design and material guidelines of the exclusive subdivision.

The high-performance of this home is primarily due to increased insulation and airtightness, which resulted in 200mm-thick exterior walls in the living areas.

It is with real pride and pleasure to receive this accolade considering the high-caliber category.  This silver award is a genuine endorsement of the workmanship, design and overall quality of this residence.
